Bradford House began with a 1912 multifamily residence and an ambitious brief: create a hotel that felt rooted in Oklahoma City but carried some of the ease and eccentricity of European hospitality. The project restores the original house, adds a modern guesthouse, and holds the two together with a private courtyard.

Twelve rooms, a restaurant, and a bar occupy the historic house; 26 additional rooms are tucked into the new building. The guesthouse steps down and simplifies its detailing so the original residence can keep its presence. Custom wood furnishings and Chippendale-inspired railings, designed and fabricated in Gardner's shop, move from the wraparound porch to the grand stair and give the old and new work a shared thread.
