701 Hudson fills one of the gaps left when much of downtown Oklahoma City's historic building stock was cleared in the 1970s. Rather than imitate what was lost, the 11-unit building uses careful proportion, durable materials, and a familiar urban scale to feel at home on the block.
Blonde brick and white maple carry from the exterior into the residences, where custom millwork and furniture were designed as part of the architecture rather than added at the end. The project grew through close collaboration among developer, architect, and builder, setting a useful early precedent for small, design-led residential infill downtown.
