The Capucille family approached Gardner with the goal of extending their home into a space that invites guests and the community to gather, exercise, and grow together. The barn is a three-story structure created to house a gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball, alongside a range of comfortable lounge spaces. The basement was designed for flexibility, incorporating a well-appointed wine cellar as well as additional room for guest living quarters.
On the main level, the gymnasium spans the breadth of the property and boasts a large barn door that opens to the outside. The gym also includes a garage door that leads into a lounge area, equipped with a fully operational wet bar that can be hidden behind custom millwork doors. The upper level consists of a loft-style office with additional space for maximum comfort. The result is a space designed and equipped for enjoyment and activity among the community.
