A study in contrasts, the Croy Residence balances openness and privacy by presenting a monolithic solid masonry wall to the street, yet the interior is open and flooded with light. A free-flowing space plan accommodates every facet of the family’s daily routine with great specificity. A projecting brick feature wall screens a glazed main entry, where guests are welcomed with hidden full height windows.

The U-shaped plan, shielded by a dark gray brick outer shell, opens up to a central courtyard, bathing the open interiors in natural daylight. Fenestration patterns range from full-wall storefront to small windows at floor level. A mix of walnut, steel, glass, and crisp white finishes creates a home that is warm and inviting.
